Carol Hughes began her comedy career at the age of forty.  "Years ago I heard Merv Griffin interview Phyllis Diller.  She stated she had started doing comedy when she was 39.  I remember saying to myself, "I could do that".  Well the rest is history.  She has been entertaining fans around the country ever since.

Fans of Mrs. Hughes are often seen sporting a tissue when she shows up to perform.  While you might think they bring them to wipe the tears of constant laughter they experience during her shows... you'd only be partly correct.
